As a triple-action insect growth regulator (IGR), Tekko Trio Foam breaks the insect life cycle, stopping normal development and inhibiting egg production — meaning the population cannot grow or breed. Tekko Trio Foam is a long-lasting formulation impeding reinfestation of cockroaches for up to 6 months and also helping to manage house fly populations, the company says. Two of its three active ingredients, hydroprene and pyriproxyfen, are juvenile hormone mimics, preventing normal adulthood development and causing sterilization. Hydroprene is moderately volatile and will translocate, penetrating voids, cracks and crevices around a treated area. The third active ingredient, novaluron, is a chitin synthesis inhibitor, which prevents the formation of a new exoskeleton.
